THE
CHILDREN
Currently, we accommodate almost 160
children with age-range that varies from 3 years to 51 years old.
Despite having “adults” as our inmates, we still term them as
“children”. The word “children” here is used loosely and it reflects
the condition and the similar situation with which the young ones
are facing.
Most of the children are mentally disabled, meaning, they are
unable to take care of themselves. Despite communication problem, it
is our duty to help them with their grooming, feeding, cleaning and
medical attention. It remains our hope that with proper education
and attention, some of them will attain independence as they mature.
Attached is our name list for your kind perusal. Apart from mental
deficiency, there are also cases such as Down Syndrome, Spastic,
Cerebral Palsy, Hyperactive and Autism. We also have 2-abuse case
and 6 normal case which the mother is a psychiatric patient.
THE FACILITIES
Classroom
A precious few of our children have the
capacity to learn. We believe with proper guidance, patience and
time, some of them are able to be productive and perhaps contribute
to the society.
Physiotherapy
Quite a number of our children suffer from
muscular disorders. It’s difficult for them to move around or hold
objects. To improve this condition, it is essential for the children
to be given daily exercises and stretching. Despite limited
equipments, our able physiotherapist tends the children
daily.
AIMS
It has long been a dream of our
founder to build a special place for these special children. With
the children and the children alone in mind, he realized in depth,
many years ago what these children had to go through in life. He was
determined to fight for something he believes. The parents of most
of the children are poor and unable to provide them with adequate
funds for their daily expenses and medical bills. Some of the
parents aren’t able to give as much attention as they require. What
we offer the children is a better living. Our aim is to give these
special children the best facilities (education and health) and also
a hope that one-day they could be independent enough to live on
their own. It is a great human effort that requires the help from up
above.
THE SUPPORT
The support we get from the
public has been encouraging. We get visitors from the neighborhood,
JB, Singapore and even from Kuala Lumpur. It is quite apparent that
the children touched them. It seems that it took no effort at all to
lift the veil of ignorance and replace it with compassion.
Especially on weekends, we receive reservations from the
public who wants to offer meals for the children. School children
from various places have come over to pay homage to the children.
The school organizers are eager to participate to entertain the
children. Always, this event sparks delight, smiles and laughter. It
is evident to our eyes that they (the school children) genuinely
empathize. I personally believe that it is their generation that
will continue to give support. We also appeals to warm hearted
people like you to give us your support.
EXPENSES
Every month our expenses reach
to about RM 50,429.15 above. The expenses is for the maintenance (staff
salary, telephone bill, electric bill, water bill and ect….) and the
children well being (medical, pampers, food, beverage and etc… ).
THE FINANCIAL
We get financial
supports from varies non-government associations, societies,
companies and also individuals. We also have volunteers to go out
and collect donations from publics. Some companies or individuals
also organized a charity event to help us collecting
